March 2025 Monthly Meeting

The Life and Work of Pearl S. Buck

​​Nancy McElwee from the Pearl S. Buck House in Perkasie will enlighten us about this Pulitzer and
Nobel Prize winning author and humanitarian. Many of us will remember reading her 1930's novel, The
Good Earth, about life in China. Her home in Bucks County is now a National Historical Landmark and
museum.

The program is open to the public and, after the presentation, light refreshments will be served in
the E. Hamilton Parke Memorial Research Library, which houses over 3,500 reference sources on local
history, genealogy, American history and a good number of family histories.
